Effect of Separator Thickness and Preheating Temperature on the Development of Microwave Processed Composite Clads by Sarbjeet Kaushal* in Crimson Publishers: Peer Reviewed Material Science Journals Microwave cladding has emerged as a noble surface modification method. Microwave cladding uses the principle of microwave hybrid heating in which a suitable separator material is used. In the present work, Ni/wc based composite clads were developed on austenitic steel through microwave heating route at 900W and 2.45GHz. The effect of various preheating temperature of raw powders and different thickness of separator on the development of composite clads have been analyzed. Fly Ash-Slag Binder in Construction Materials by Agnieszka Machowska* in Crimson Publishers: Peer Reviewed Material Science Journals Fulfilling the requirements of The Circular Economy policy established in European Union and necessity of limiting CO 2 atmospheric emissions from the cement production process great emphasis is put on the utilisation of the wastes from coal combustion-by products from the power industry (slags and fly ashes). The cement production generates annual emissions of about 800kg/1Mg of clinker. Hence, the use of by-products instead of cement allows for a limiting of CO 2 emissions. Moreover, economic reasons have also forced a search for alternative (non-clinker) binders which can be used in concrete technology. Fly ashes from pulverized coal combustion process have been successfully used in cement and concrete production for many years.
