Performance of Corncob Ash and Anthill Soil in Ternary Concrete Mixes - Crimson Publishers
Performance of Corncob Ash and Anthill Soil in Ternary Concrete Mixes by Ash Ahmed* in Crimson Publishers: Peer Reviewed Material Science Journals
This work investigated the
performance of ternary Corncob Ash (CCA) and Anthill Soil (AHS) in concrete
mixes. CCA and AHS were replaced in concrete using equal proportions at
replacements of 0%, 5%, 7.5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, and 30%. Investigations covered
workability, density, compressive and tensile strengths and gain in strength
over time of concrete, as these were found to be the major characteristics of
Supplementary Cementitious Materials (SCMs). Results showed that the two
materials could be used with an advantage over individual binary concretes in
these areas.
